Good evening everyone,
Monday 21st was a big night. Robert Hofmann the initiator of the SocialMovieNight kicked-off the first SocialMovieNight within the first ever SocialMovieTOUR!
This tour was long awaited by fans of the SocialMovieNight, since the event has been a Berlin only event so far. A lot of people kept asking if Robert could do the event in other cities as well, so for the 25th SocialMovieNight he arranged 5 dates in 5 different cities.
The dates for the tour were as followed:
I joined for the first date, on Monday 21st, and had something special planed for the night.
Most of you might not know that for the first 6 events the SocialMovieNight was actually called “YouTuber Preview”, but was re-named for the 7th event to the famous SocialMovieNight.
Can you imagine that we could already experience 25 (!) events within the past 2 years?!
Which movies did we watch so far? Let me tell you:
- The Internship
- The Hunger Games: Catching Fire
- Inside Llevyn Davis
- 300: Rise of an Empire
- The other man
- Purge: Anarchy
- Storm Hunters
- If I stay
- Dracula Untold
- Northmen: A viking saga
- Dumb and Dumber To
- The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 1
- Kill the Boss 2
- SpongeBob 3D
- The Wedding Ringer
- Chappie
- Halbe Brüder (german)
- Run all Night
- Pitch Perfect 2
- San Andreas

- Pixels
- The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
- Trainwreck
- The Visit
That is an impressive bunch of good movies and I am always amazed by the love and effort everyone puts into those nights. I am also very thankful to be able to be a part of the SocialMovieNight series. Mainly because those nights are about giving and making people happy. Giving the community the chance to enjoy such special events together and share common interest. The people also have the chance to meet their favorite YouTubers, get autographs and pictures, as well as catching a short chat. I have talked to al lot of people who have won tickets to these events and the feedback was always positive. These nights mean a lot to the people and they are very thankful to Robert and his Team.
To celebrate the 25th and also 2 year anniversary I decided to bake a luscious chocolate cake with choco oreos inside and white fondant on top.

Admit it, there is no party without a Birthday cake :)
I was very happy to see that everyone enjoyed eating the cake as much as I enjoyed making it. Everyone told me that it was very delicious which filled my heart with warmth and happiness.
Matching the movie poster of the night for The Visit, I also baked about 100 cookies which were also received well.

this is my version of the poster

Al lot of people asked for the recipe to these cookies, so without further ado, here you go.
What you will need for about 30 cookies:
- 100 g white chocolate
- 100 g normal (whole milk) chocolate
- 250 g soft, unsalted butter
- 250 g Zucker
- 2 eggs (room temperature)
- 300 g flour
- 30 g cocoa powder
- 1 T baking soda
- 1 T salt
Turn on your oven to 200 degrees top and bottom heat or 180 degrees circulating heat.
Chop all the chocolate into little pieces and set them aside. Do the same with the nuts.
Put your soft, unsalted butter into your mixing bowl and use an electric whisk to turn it into a soft, fluffy mass. Add the eggs and keep whisking until it’s super fluffy. Mix the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl and add the pieces of chocolate and nuts. Now mix everything together using a wooden spoon. Make sure to mix well since the cookie dough gets really strong.
Prepare the baking tray by putting baking paper on top of it and use a tea-spoon to portion the dough. Form small balls of dough and lightly press them on to the baking paper. Make sure to leave enough space in between them or else the will melt together.
Now put the first tray into the oven for about 10-12 minutes and repeat until you finished off all the dough.
Now enjoy your freshly baked grannie cookies.
