[sponsored] Rituals no.1

Hey lovelies,

the whole moving and arranging things in the new apartment is pretty exhausting, BUT on Saturday my life has been saved :)

I received a sample package from the PR agency of Rituals, with three great products in it.

Let’s see what I got :D

Flower Shower Foam

A limited edition of the Rituals shower foams. This is from their Indian Summer line.
The used natural ingredients of White Lotus and Bergamot provide a wonderfully fresh fragrance.

I love these shower foams, because they feel so luxurious on the skin and smell so nice.
I am a big fan of the discreet ones like the one from their Sakura Line which is called Zensation, T’ai chi or this one from their Indian Summer Line.

You just take a little bit of the gel which, when it gets in contact with water, transforms into a rich soothing foam.
There are also lots of other things like Fragrance Sticks, Candles or other body treatments like their body cream or shower oil.

I personally would love to try the candle, since I already own the green tea candle called tea time and I love it.

This puppy was also in the package. A nice turquoise long-lasting nail polish with a hint of a golden shimmer in it.
I couldn’t wait to try it and must say I really like the color. The application was also pretty easy even though it took me a minute to get used to the brush. Not that it is a difficult brush to work with, but I am more used to the wider brushes.

How do you like the color?

Quick Dry Drops

Get them here

The perfect match for the polish are these Quick Dry Drops which they also sent to me. So far I only tried the ones from Essence, which sadly always make my polishes bubble up. These from Rituals are much better. I tried them twice already. Once with a KOH polish I recently bought and with this polish from Rituals. Both times I used it I had no problems at all and they worked very well.

I saw that they not only sell more colors of polish, but also a nail cuticle treatment, a nail corrector pen as well as a nail polish remover and nail files.

Would love to try the cuticle treatment. I currently use the one from p2 which is ok but I feel a real treatment should do more^^

Have you tried anything from the Rituals product you can recommend to me?
I would love to read your opinion.

Have a great night

HAULy friday – seventeen – Rituals

Hey everyone,

today  I have a different HAULy friday for you.

After I already bought one of their shower foams a while ago and since I loved it so much I decided to visit my local Rituals Shop. I wanted to try their Sakura (cherry blossom) range so bad, but since they are not really cheap I was hesitant to buy more.

Anyway, that day I went in knowing this could be dangerous haha but I still did and started sniffing around. The sales lady came running and went through the whole Cherry Blossom Ritual with me. She wet my hands, used the hand oil, the peeling, the shower foam and later the body cream. I was in heaven!

I smelled incredibly nice and actually wanted to lick myself haha

Oh well, sold. I decided against one of their big packs, which included 200 ml Zensation (shower foam), 150 ml Rice Scrub (hand scrub), 100 gr Sakura Scrub (body scrub) & 70 ml Magic Touch (body creme). Why?
Simply because I wanted the the full sized products.

So here is what I bought.

Left top to bottom right …

Sakura Scrub
Body Peeling
18,50 euro / 375 gr

Magic Touch
Body Creme
15,00 euro / 200 ml

Shower Foam
8,00 euro / 200 ml

Tea Time Candle
Green Tea
17,50 euro / 290 gr

candle in action^^

All together I paid around 60 euro, but it was totally worth it!

I used all of these products a few times already and I really love them.
Because of their price they are for sure no everyday items, but I always use them when I am super stressed or had a shitty day/week.

So I am sure these will last me a while.

The peeling is really nice, you don’t need much but it gives you really soft skin. In combination with the shower foam and body creme it is even better. For me this is a little luxury treat once in a while, to pamper myself and feel good. Mostly after I used them, I will light the candle and relax watching my favorite shows. The whole Ritual is very calming.

So far I also bought the Shower Foam from Trees, which is a Douglas brand I think, but I mostly don’t use it. I liked the smell at the beginning, but it is kind of too strong for me now.

Kneipp also came out with two different shower foams. But more on that later^^

I will definitely re-buy those products and really hope they will never discontinue them. I am a big fan of these.

Have you ever tried Rituals products? I know they sell a lot of different products and scents, also Make-up, but since I almost never use Make-up anymore I was not really paying attention to that area of the shop^^
They also sell home goods like towels, room scents and clothes. I know right now they have an offer where you get a free Hammam beach towel if you buy things over the value of 40 euro.

Let me know which Ritual products you like. I am curious to read your opinion.

Have a relaxed long weeked (if Monday is a holiday for you).

my first SELF MADE nail polish!!!

Hello everyone,

can you tell how excited I am?
Yesterday I did something I wanted to try for a looooong time, but I was somehow to scared because I didn’t want to mess up and waste products haha
But well, yesterday I did it anyway.
Yes I did mess up on the first one, but luckily I had enough products left to give it a second try and tadaaaaa it worked out just fine.

What I used:

  • a small plastic cup, I used the packaging for toothpicks
you will need this to mix everything together
  • pigments in the color of your choice, I used pressed eye-shadow but you can also use loose pigments
to give my polish more depth, I used three different colors, but still similar
  • a clear nail polish, this is your base for the self made polish
  • something to mix the ingredients together, I used a toothpick

Catrice Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat

another thing I had left and thought I could use was this pink glitter, mine was to put on fondant, but since I never used it I thought I might as well use it now^^

Let the fun begin. First you take one of the eye-shadows and start grinding it off the packaging using a toothpick.
I used an old plastic card to move the pigments back and forth to grind them to a fine powder.

After I was done I took the second color and did the same.

Now using the card mix the pigments together.

And then the last color.

After you are left with a colorful mixture of color powder take the plastic cup  and pour the clear polish inside.
Add the pigments into and start stirring with the toothpick. I also added the glitter, which turned out to be a bad idea because it messed up the whole polish haha
After you stirred for a while make sure to get the new polish back into the bottle. I used a paper as a funnel so I wouldn’t make a mess.
As you can see, I did not use all the pigments, because it was way to much. Even now, after two bottles, I still have leftovers.

What I was left with was this pretty cherry blossom color. I was in love!

Make sure to give this a god long shake, so the rest of the clumps mix in well.

Sadly as you can see the glitter cause a mess. The polish was still clumpy and just gross hahaDSC05913

So I learned something from it :D
I tried again and left out the glitter. My second polish is a dream. I love the color and I love the texture.

I used this clear nail polish from Maybelline.

Here you can see the difference. On my pinky you see the first mixed polish and on the other fingers one coat of the second polish I mixed.

I liked this color so much that I had to paint both my hands and get a nice manicure.DSC05925

Shoot! What do you think?

I totally freaking love it! Especially for this pretty cherry blossom color. It is perfect for spring.
