[SoMoNight] the man from U.N.C.L.E.

Hey lovelies,

today I would like to give you a small inside on the past SocialMovieNight by Robert Hofmann for the movie The man from U.N.C.L.E. (Codname: U.N.C.L.E. in Germany)

The man from U.N.C.L.E. is an action comedy spy film directed by Guy Ritchie and co-written by Lionel Wigram and Ritchie, based on the 1964 MGM television series of the same name created by Sam Rolfe. The film stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki and Hugh Grant. The film will be released on August 13, 2015.

In the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.

For that night I created a nail design as well as a pedicure, that would match the subject of the movie.

With a little help from California Nails I did a USA flag design on my toes and partially on my nails as well as the missions name U.N.C.L.E.

How do you like the combination ?

Thank you to Felix for taking this lovely picture (check him out on Instagram)

For my toes I used the USA flag toe nail tips from California Nails. A quick and easy way to impress with a clean design.

If you would like to see how to apply the toe nail tips, please check out my YouTube video.

The SocialMovieNight was as fun as always.

Robert Hofmann and his co-host Mr. Trashpack, as well as moderator Patrice Bouédibéla led through the evening.

A couple of the guest came in movie matching outfits.

My nails were also a big hit.

Before the movie started we took the typical SocialMovieNight selfie.

Mara’s Birthday nail art month – DAY 21

Mara's Birthday nail art month

DAY 21

Good evening lovelies,

I wanted to say thank for you encouraging words on here and on my facebook. That really made me feel better and more relaxed about wanting to improve my Blog right away. I will take things step by step.

Today I have a really fun nail design for you. You might have felt my love for Japan, my friends even call me Ninja girl sometimes^^
So what did I do today? Right, Ninja nails! :D

What I used:

  • Maybelline Colorshow – 677 blackout
  • Ciaté – PP017 boudoir
  • KIKO – 508
  • Essence LE Superheroes – 04 super, man!
  • O.P.I. top coat and matte top coat

At first I painted all nails, except my middle finger, black. The middle finger was painted red. I let everything dry and started using KIKO – 508 to paint on their skin – eye are. Remember, ninja are dressed totally in black and all you can see are their eyes. Let that dry as well and in the meantime use a thin striper to right “Ninja” in silver on your thumb nail and draw a silver 手裏剣 shuriken (ninja star) on your ring finger..  When the faces are dry you can use the striper to draw on the head bans. The black nails get a red one and the red nail gets a black head band. For the red head band you might need two coats. Now dot on the tiny eyes :)

For my right hand I decided to do more black and silver, because I just love the combination and I wanted to have more 手裏剣 action going on.

I applied black polish as a base, used O.P.I.’s matte top coat to matte-fy it and let that dry. Then I used the silver Essence polish again to draw on different silver shapes. That is it :)

Hod do you like today’s design? I hope you enjoy it.
