HAULy friday – twelve – L’occitane

Hey everyone,

welcome to another HAULy friday post.

hauly

Recently I did a huge order at L’occitane which I discovered thanks to a germany Youtuber, her name is Reni. You can check out her channel here.

Reni got me interested in L’occitane, especially in their hand cremes and their Shine and Color Protection Shampoo.
I liked L’occitane on Facebook and saw that they offered a set of 3 mini hand creme for their Facebook fans.
That was the perfect chance for me to dive in. I signed up and picked up the creme set for free.

I talked about that in my HAULy friday two.

Back then I not only got the free hand creme set but also a “full sized” hand gel for 5 euro and some samples to try out.

These were the hand cremes

one of the sample was also the Shampoo I wanted to try out.

I tried everything out and I am very impressed! I love these products.
The cremes and also the hand gel have a really great texture and are absorbed very nicely. The shampoo was also amazing which is why I had to place an order. L’occitane always has special offers and since I was been registered with them after getting the free hand cremes they sent me a coupon for another set of welcome products.
At the time of my order they also offered a spring bag with mini products which I also wanted to get but since you only can add ne coupon per order I ended up separating it in two orders.

I ordered both as presents because I really love their boxes 😛

with each order you can also pick three samples

with my second order came only two samples, but that’s fine.
In the following picture you can also see the welcome set, which included shower oil, foot creme and their karité hand creme.

I also bought their cherry blossom bag, because I really really love cherry blossoms.
It contained a hand soap bar, shower gel, a shimmery body lotion and the hand creme which I own twice now^^

another thing I really wanted was the spring bag, because I thought the bag was super cute!

it contained the almond hand creme, shower oil and skin oil.

IMG_0154

last but not least I bought the two most expensive products, which are the 500ml shampoo and their hair repairing oil.
The oil I tried while I was picking up the hand creme trio form the store. For the rest of the day my hair smelled so gorgeous that I had to buy this one as well.

As you can see I own some of the products more than once, but that is totally fine since I will definitely use all of them.
The quality and the smell of all these products is simply addicting haha

If you have any questions regarding the products please ask me or visit their website www.loccitane.com

HAULy friday – six – Rival de Loop and Rossmann goodies

Hello everyone,

welcome to another HAULy friday post.

hauly

This time I went to my local Rossmann. As you might have realized I usually go to my local DM. But some things I can’t get there. Rival de Loop for example is a brand they don’t sell at DM.

Besides that I was lucky enough to “win” a coupon on Rossmann’s Facebook page for their Alterra Handcreme (full size)

DSC05549

You saw on Tuesday’s post, that I usually used Rossmann’s Isana Anti Age Handcreme with Q10, but since this one a a free-bee and I always like to try new stuff, I got this.
I must say it is a good Creme. I love the smell of it, reminds me of a babies butt 🙂
Probably because of the Camille. It also contains Jojoba oil, both bio.
It sais it is fast absorbing and it is if you don’t use too much, but oh boy I squeezed off too much one time and I basically had to creme my hands forever to get it absorb the Creme.
Other then that, the price is great. I think it was about 1,95 euro for those 75 ml which will probably last you a long time.

Another thing I like to buy when I’m going to Rossmann is their nail polish remover. (89 cents)
Sadly I just realized it is NOT Acetone free. The one I use from DM from Ebeline is the Acetone free one and it is a bit gentler on your skin.

DSC05548

I also bought simple cotton pads (120 for 79 cents)
Sorry I did not take a picture of these^^

And who would have thought, of course I also bought some nail polish.

To be honest…..2 nights ago I had a dream about nail polish…..i don’t remember where I went, but I bought a ton of polishes from companies we don’t have here…..I am not even sure if they are real or my mind just made them up, but they were amazing haha

So here we go with the Rival de Loop polishes I bought.

This puppy here was on sale.

These pretty glitter polishes looked very nice in the bottles. I am excited to see if they look like that on the nails.
They were normal price, so 1,99 euro each.

Did I mention I like green?
When I saw this I thought it is a pretty nice discreet green shade, so I wanted it, but I was also curious about the labeled safari look…..does this polish do something? I couldn’t figure out so far but I will let you know when I try it.
It was 1,49 euro and is also by Rival de Loop, but the young collection.

Another thing I could not pass up was this simple nail hardener base coat…..I used it a few times already and I must say I LOVE it. I was looking for the perfect base coat for myself and I think I found it. It does not say how much product is in there but the bottle is pretty small, so maybe 6-8ml? The price? RIDICULOUS! Only 99 cents!
Oh yeah and it is also by Rival de Loop Young.

I will definitely re-purchase.

Last but not least I also got some fun stuff to play with. Nail sticker, also on sale.

Mara’s little helpers

Hello everyone,

welcome to another one of my Tips & Tricks posts.

tips

Today I would like to fill you in on my littler nail related helpers.

I guess the ground essentials are the same for all of us. A nail file, some cotton pads/balls and nail polish remover.
But which ones are used? Which other tips and tricks do I have for you?

Well, keep on reading and you will find out 🙂

DSC05067

First of all, there is a big difference between metal files, bendy nail files (the green one) and glass files.
I think they are all good, but I use them for different purposes.
The metal file for example is used to file my toe nails. These are usually much stronger than my finger nails. I also have problems with the nails going into my skin, so it is important for me to lift them up sometimes and file the corners so nothing hurts. The metal file is perfect for that. Besides that it is of course perfect to clean under your nail, doesn’t matter if toe nails or finger nails.
I also use it to clean up excess nail polish if I painted past the nails.
The green file is for soft/weak nails, so I use that one to file my finger nails. I mostly don’t use a base coat before paining my nails. I don’t know, when I use a base coat it is more difficult to apply the nail color evenly. So I end up not using a base coat UNLESS I have to, because I am using a polish I know will leave stains and discolor my nail.
IF that happens, because I am trying a color for the first time, the green file is great for gently file off the discolored top of my nails.
I also own a glass file from Ciaté, the first glass file I used so far.
I must say I really like it, but sometimes it files too much off. So my favorite file is still the green one my p2.

Having this said, there are some other tools I use to make nails arts more easy.

Tooth picks are also great to clean up if you applied polish past your nail.
A two-sided dotting tool, to create polka dot nails, color a larger design, add eyes or pupils to a character and so on and so forth
A tweezer, to pick up small nail art objects (characters, stickers, pearls, shiny stones) and place them on your nail art.
Cuticle gel/creme and an oil in cuticle skin pusher pen to take care of your cuticle.
A nail polish correcting pen. So much more easy to clean off any excess polish.
And also a nail art brush to apply glitter or what not AND last but not least, funnels to fill back in all the pearls and glitter.

DSC05636

A skin clipper to cut off excess cuticle skin that you pushed back before.

DSC05656

DSC05657

A hand peeling. Mine is by p2 and I really, really love this!!!
I am so mad at p2 for distributing this! Mine won’t last forever and I was really satisfied with this.
I hope I can find something similar to it.

DSC05658

My favorite hand-creme.

DSC05578

Pink cotton gloves to put on after applying loads of creme or a hand mask. Makes your hands so much smoother 🙂
Preferably used after a hand peeling.
Also toe seperaters for pedicure and make-up sponges for gradient nail art design (I did not try this though)

DSC05574

DSC05575

Nail care. I recently bought these two bottles. Cuticle care gel and Nail food (hihi) for weak nails.
Be careful though with the cuticle gel, DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES after putting this on!

DSC05069

DSC05548

Nail polish remover (either the acetone free one from Ebeline or the one from Rossmann), cotton pads and aluminium foil.

DSC05576

Express dry drops, helps drying you polish much faster. I must say though, for me it leaves bubbles in my polish, I don’t know why. But that’s why I don’t use this particular one often.
I prefer Ciaté’s speed coat pro (NT014), which is a fast dry top coat.

DSC05577

A black nail art pen, you never know when you will need this puppy 🙂

DSC05301

Don’t laugh, but circle stickers/markers and clear tape.
This helps to create and easy french nail or other nail art designs.

Besides that I have cut my own nail art brushes from normal thin art brushes.
Who needs expensive nail stripers if you can cut your own?

Let me know if this was helpful and if you have any other questions on what I use or if YOU have tips and tricks to share with me.

I am interested to hear your feedback!
