I am back with a new blog post and special one it is.
You might know that I love my girl Cristine from Simply Naillogical.
This year Cristine came out with the F.U.N. Lacquer X SimplyNailogical collection, which I like to refer to as the SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY collection. The collection contains six polishes in total, three super glitter polishes in clear base and three extra HOLO versions of these polishes. I bought the first 4 polishes of the collection within my my first order at Hypnotic Polish a while back and the remaining 2 polishes with my 2nd order, which I received recently. It was simply clear to me that I had to have them all!
Guess what, today I want to show them to you. SHOW THEM ALL!!!!! mwuahahahahaha *evil laugh*
Before we get to the polishes, we HAVE to talk about the boxes they come in.
LOOK AT THOSE PRETTY HOLO BOXES!!!!!
If you ask me, those boxes alone are worth the price of these babies! I might be seriously obsessed. I think I need wallpaper like that to feed my HOLO obsession.
Anyway, on to the polishes…like I said, the collection contains or six polishes and three basic colors. Each color also has a HOLO version, which is a thing for most of the F.U.N. Lacquer polishes.
I am honestly in love with these, which is why I had to take so many pictures of them.
It is a little bit difficult to see the difference between them under studio lights, but in direct sunlight these babies unleash their real HOLO beauty.
If you want to see more HOLO porn, check out Cristine’s introduction video.
I am so happy I bought all of them, because each of the polishes has something special. Let me introduce them to you.
The links below will take you to the Hypnotic Polish website, which is where I bought my polishes from. (these are NOT affiliate links)
HOLO Queen (left) is a beautiful strong vivid magenta-purple holographic glitter nail polish in clear base! This glitter has a higher quality than the “standard” glitter therefore they’re much brighter and shinier than the standard blingy polish.
HOLO Queen (H) (right) is the holographic version of the original Holo Queen glitter nail polish. Holo Queen (H) is added with a precise amount of holographic pigment to add an incredibly sparkle to the polish.
How Deep Is Your HOLO? (left) is a super chic royal blue holographic glitter nail polish in clear base! This glitter has a higher quality than the “standard” glitter therefore they’re much brighter and shinier than the standard blingy polish.
How Deep Is Your HOLO? (H) (right) is the holographic version of the original How Deep Is Your Holo? glitter nail polish. How Deep Is Your Holo? (H) is added with a precise amount of holographic pigment to add an incredibly sparkle to the polish.
Black HOLO Witch (left) is a 100% black holographic glitter in clear base! This glitter has a higher quality than the “standard” glitter therefore they’re much brighter and shinier than the standard blingy polish.
Black HOLO Witch (H) (right) is the holographic version of the original Black Holo Witch glitter nail polish. Black Holo Witch (H) is added with a precise amount of holographic pigment to add an incredibly sparkle to the polish.
All polishes can be worn alone in 3-4 coats or you may apply it over any color! F.U.N. Lacquer and Cristine recommend to apply a coat on bare nails and use the sponge technique to get them fully opaque.
In general these polishes might be a bit difficult to handle for nail polish beginners or people who never used such fully packed glitter polishes or even the sponge technique, but hell if you know how to use these you will love them for sure.
Their true beauty is revealed in direct sunlight. The HOLO really twinkles and blinds in the different lighting.
WARNING: do not wear these if you get easily distracted. They might cause you to run in front of cars or poles.
I posted a few pictures and videos on my Instagram if you want to check out more porn. Black HOLO Witch is really one of a kind. The following picture shows how amazing these HOLO glitters reflect the rainbow.
I also tried to create a HOLO glitter gradient with Black HOLO Witch as well as How Deep is your HOLO? and used ILNP’s MEGA (X) as a base. What do you think?
You love HOLO? You love glitter? You are not scared of polishes that are a little tricky to handle? Then these polishes are for you!
I gotta say, it took me a moment to get used to them. So far I didn’t own any glitter polish that was that packed. But I worked with them and really like them. I said it many times, usually I am not a big fan of pink polishes, but HOLO Queen totally got me. The combination of pink, magenta and even a bit of purple hits me right in the g-spot. The depth of How Deep is your HOLO? totally reminds me of the ocean and I knew that I had to have it the moment I saw it. Black HOLO Witch was also a total must-have for me. Of course that goes for all the extra HOLO siblings as well. They are all just stunning and I honestly can not tell you which one is my favorite.
I think it is a great collection, so if you would like to get it yourself, check out the following authorized distributors.
