Hello everyone and happy 2nd Advent to you all.
Today Janine from Lackliebe, a few other bloggers and I open another door to our [LACKtastischer Adventskalender].
The theme is Saint Nicolas. This was actually one of the designs where I had to look for inspirations online. From the story, Saint Nicolas and Santa Claus are not the same person, but it seems they kinda look the same? So my design can be used as Saint Nicolas or Santa Claus. As always you are very welcome to join in as well. If you do it on Instagram, please make sure to use #lackvent2015 so we can see your Advent nail designs as well.
What I used?
- ORLY – tinsel
- trent IT UP – Sparkling Glamour LE – 010
- trent IT UP – Sparkling Glamour LE – 030
- thumbs up nail wraps
- black, white and gold polish for details
As you can see, on my middle finger I used one of the thumbs up nail wraps. I felt it fit pretty well since Saint Nicolas/Santa is always riding his sleigh while it snows. To make the design a bit more festive I applied a white gold polish on my pinky and pointer finger and added tinsel from ORLY on top. On my ring finger I painted Saint Nicolas’ /Santa’s face and on my thumb I added his jacket.
The design is actually not that hard. You just need a bit practice if you are a beginner. Use a thin brush to draw on his hat, a dotting tool for the white part of the hat, as well as for his eyes, nose and beard. The jacket is also very easy since you just have to add the red base color and the white and black stripes. Last but not least add a gold buckle with a thin brush and you are done.
How do you like it?
